These sessions are often about teasing out the best parts of the song and making them really shine. They are also about realising the artist’s vision for their song and getting those ideas out of their head and coming out of the speakers.
How each session is approached is different and tailored to each artist / song and their needs. Some artists will start a song from scratch with Jono in the studio, other artists will bring in a bare bones idea and will flesh out the backing track, beats, lyrics, melodies and ideas together with Jono. Other artists will bring in a song that has already been roughly produced and it is about increasing the production level of that song to get it to a higher standard. Some artists already have their beats / backing track produced and finalised and just want a high end vocal recording and polished vocal production for their song over the top.
